Porto Cristo (Osten)
Porto Cristo is a charming harbour town on the southeast coast of Mallorca. Situated in a picturesque bay and framed by low cliffs, it has become one of the island's main tourist destinations. Unlike many other resorts in Mallorca, Porto Cristo has retained its original character to this day. In this magical place you will not find luxurious hotel complexes or noisy discotheques. The most special feature of Porto Cristo are the Cuevas del Drach, a widely branched cave system close to the coast. In the village itself, one of the most beautiful buildings is the old church of the "Mare de Déu del Carme", named after the patron saint of sailors. Also worth seeing is the statue of the mermaid in Calle San Jorge. The beach of Porto Cristo is also one of its strongest points, with soft sand and calm waters where you can practice sports such as diving and canoeing, or take pleasant sailing trips.
